Overview of Pediatric Pelvic Care
Pediatric Pelvic Care at BeWhole Pelvic Physical Therapy focuses on exercises that engage, release, and strengthen the pelvic muscles. These are crucial for effective bladder and bowel control. Through our specialized program, we help your child recognize and control the necessary muscles when they feel the urge to use the bathroom.
How Does It Work?
Our therapy sessions involve a series of tailored activities that make the process engaging and effective for children. By focusing on muscle activation and relaxation, we help alleviate the stress and embarrassment associated with incontinence.
Key Benefits of Pelvic Care for Children
- Enhanced Control: Improved ability to control bladder and bowel functions, significantly reducing accidents.
- Boosted Confidence: As your child gains control, their confidence in social situations and at school can improve dramatically.
- Better Quality of Life: With fewer worries about accidents, your child can enjoy a more active and happy life.
Kavtiha is kind and caring and takes the time to listen to you. I never felt rushed and she always took her time and her main focus was on me and my treatment. She has a very comfortable and welcoming treatment area. My pelvic floor issues resolved after 5-6 treatments with her and she then showed me how to manage any pelvic floor issues that may arise again on my own. I highly recommend her as she is an expert and very knowledgeable in this area.
I was referred to Dr Kavitha by my daughter who was being treated for her postpartum pelvic floor issues. I needed help in that region as well and was hoping to avoid surgery. Dr. Kavita was able to make it happen and I was able to completely avoid surgery In addition to helping my pelvic floor she treated my body holistically and treated my hip stiffness as well. I really appreciate her approach in treating my body as a whole. She’s extremely knowledgeable and I’d highly recommend her to anyone that needs assistance.
