Key Benefits of Pre-Post Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in Bensalem

The biggest advantage is starting rehab BEFORE you go under the knife. This “pre-habilitation” builds strength and stamina to better withstand surgery’s impact.
You’ll also gain:

  • Mental Preparation – Knowledge eases fears about surgery and recovery. Our therapists explain the process so you know what to expect.
  • Reduced Pain & Inflammation – Hands-on techniques like tissue mobilization directly treat these debilitating effects.
  • Restored Mobility & Flexibility – Scar tissue and guarding cause stiffness. We’ll progressively recapture your full healthy range.
  • Reestablished Pelvic Floor Control – Incontinence and other issues stem partly from weak muscles unable to support pelvic organs. We retrain proper coordination and control.
  • Smoother Healing Through Better Movement Patterns – Poor patterns inhibit surgical sites so we re-normalize so you can sleep, sit, bend, laugh, exercise, work…pain-free!
  • Enhanced Overall Health & Fitness – Building core strength, flexibility, and stamina pays off now and for life as you age.
  • Complete Confidence Managing Post-Surgical Routines – No doubts about exercises, restrictions, and milestones. We prepare you to own your recovery!

I am a previous patient of Dr Kavitha’s care and services. I am commenting to help others understand how beneficial her services are. I completed my time about 6 weeks to 2 months ago. Dr Kavitha taught me beneficial measures and exercise to promote improved condition of my pelvic floor issues. I am able to change to a smaller Pesarie size. I only require when I go to Spinning Class or go Dancing. I successfully complete 110 KEGAL Exercises EVERY Day to promote pelvic floor health and muscle strengthening. When the pelvic floor muscles are weak, the sensation use the facilities can be “urgent”. But Dr K taught me to take a deep breath, relaxing the pelvic floor and reducing the pressure! Very helpful. My planks for up to 60 seconds as often as possible, strengthen my abdominal muscles and improve my posture. Deep breathing is key! BeWhole Pelvic Floor Therapy has helped me change the quality of my life!!!

As a 42 year old I was having some problems that make me feel really unconfortable and after talking to my Gyn she mentioned Pelvic Physical Therapy as a possible way to fix it. I found Kavitha thanks to Google and was an awesome experience. She is very caring, make me feel confortable and just by following her suggestions my problems are no longer bothering me. I will recommend her a 100% to any person that is in need of a therapist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does therapy actually help or will I be in more pain?

It’s understandable to worry about pain, but consider: research shows education and manual therapy before surgery directly reduces post-op pain by over 40% on average (4). During therapy, your certified pelvic rehab therapist is specially trained to ensure maximal benefits using pain modulation techniques.

What exactly happens in a pelvic floor therapy session?

Each session focuses on your case and goals. Your therapist will perform hands-on soft tissue and muscular release, joint mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercises, activity training, and more. They’ll also provide extensive education so you deeply understand your condition.

What if I experience pain / discomfort during the session?

We urge patients to communicate any pain experienced so we can immediately adjust our approach. Your comfort guides all treatment while still progressing safely – we won’t have you push through pain. Please speak up so we can modify techniques and make you feel better!
